Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Was thinking today about the huge amount of forums on here, many of which have a dedicated group of posters, and how most of them I have never really bothered to look at.

And I decided to set myself a challenge: To post at least one post in each publicly open forum on boards.ie

The rules are simple:

1. I will do them in order and work my way from Arts to Sys including all subforums.

2. I will read through several threads, get a feel for the forum and post at least one post in a thread.

3. The post must add something to the forum. It must be useful, interesting, funny. (I can't guarantee this one, but I'll try)

4. Private and advert forums don't count.

So, I set out on this quest, with the first forum on the list- Anime and Manga.
This already poses me a problem, as it's a subject I know nothing about.

Fortunatly, I discovered a thread asking about the public's perception about manga. That, I could answer as a lay man.

This is certainly one of the most interesting concepts I've seen on boards, I wish you all the best with it and hope it broadens some of your horizons, as well as ispires others to check out forums beyond After Hours.

All I can say is I hope you're a sporty person. There's a serious amount of obscure sports forums. Good contributing to a thread on Airsoft, Angling and Archery!

And I assume a post along the lines of 'I'm a n00b to Angling. Where's the best place to buy a fishing rod?' doesn't count!

Make sure your post in poker is +EV and related to an oesd or a nfd + wrap in Omaha.

There is some weird lingo in some forums that will take you a bit of getting used to although you don't plan to be around each for long I know. I looked into the chess forum a few days ago for the first time and it scared me.

I'd like to add an exclusion I forgot earlier, that eVeNtInE mentioned. Foreign Language forums. Having to learn several new languages would make this a challenge, way beyond my capacity.
