Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I am running a Dell Inspiron 6400 with XP. I have tried using msconfig to get rid of some startup programs, when I press apply changes I get this message "An Access Denied error was returned while attempting to change a service. You may need to log on using an Administrator account to make the specified changes." I am logged in as an administrator.
    Any ideas?

might be better to use a program called autoruns for this. It's free and doesnt need to be even installed as its just an .exe

It's a Windows issue, I've seen this too many times to count. Just click away the error, press OK and restart your computer as normal - the changes will still go into effect.

+1 on this suggestion. however, when i have come across this problem it was the first of many to come. Something is messed up somewhere along the line.
