    This is an excellent opportunity for under 21's looking to improve their flatwork, and it's open to everyone - You don't need to be a Dressage Ireland member :) Early booking is advisable though as places are limited.

    Fresh from the National Championships, our top trainers are turning their attention to the development aspect of our sport. Training is being organised in all Dressage Ireland Regions for all young riders, from all disciplines, who are keen to get help with their basic work.

    Eastern Region Junior Training Plan
    25th / 26th October 2008 at Spruce Lodge Ballyrogan, Wicklow with Niall Quirke

    Dates: 29th - 30th October 2008
    Venue: Marlton Stud, Wicklow
    Time: 10am - 1pm, 2pm - 4pm, 10am - 4 p.m.
    Trainers: Emma Kieran, Sorrell Klatzko and Stephen Byrne
    With a theory session during lunch break

    The course will consist of a ¾ hour private lesson each day and riders will have the opportunity to watch and discuss other lessons with a trainer.

    Cost: €60.00 including 2 x 3/4 hour lessons, lunch and theory session
    Stabling: Will be available free of charge if they are mucked out and left tidy.

    These lessons are designed to give riders knowledge of basic flat work to help improve their ponies and horses for general riding, dressage, show jumping and cross country. They will also serve as an introduction to competitive dressage and riders will have the opportunity to explore the possibilities offered to under 21s by Dressage Ireland.

    The course is open to junior members of Dressage Ireland, Pony club members (must be of "C" test standard) and I.P.S members (must be 12 years old or over). Riders who are not members of any organisation may submit a short CV of riding experience and will be considered on merit.

    Northern Ireland Youth Development Training
    Dressage Ireland, in conjunction with Horse Sport Ireland, have organised a series of training sessions for young riders under 21.

    Northern Region Training will be on 30th and 31st October, at Knockaghview Stud, with Olympic Dressage rider Heike Holstein.
    Riders do not need to be members of Dressage Ireland, however should be at least 12 years old, and be of Pony Club "C" Test standard.
    Cost is £50 for members and £60 for non members.

    North Munster Dressage Youth Development Training with Donie McNamara
    Dates: Saturday 25th October 2008 and Sunday 28th December 2008

    On the evening of 28th December there will be a Lecture/Demonstration with Vida Tansey, open to all.

    Venue: (for both days): Coonagh Equestrian Centre, Limerick.

    Lessons are subsidised and semi-private, lasting 45 minutes and for riders aged 12 - 25 years.

    Cost: €25 for members, €30 for non members.

    Early Booking Is Advised As Places Are Limited


    Leinster Region Youth Development Training for people aged 21 and under
    Thursday 30 October 2008

    Trainer: Maureen Dwyer

    Venue: Maynooth Equestrian Centre

    Cost: €30 to Dressage Ireland Members and €35 to non members

    Fees payable in advance.

    South Munster Region
