Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How hard is it to set up your own Forum using Fud Forum? How do you go about getting it hosted and is there much cost for running it?

I have no experience at setting up websites or anything like that so would I be able to do it or should I just forget about it?

While I've never used it, I can't imagine that installing it would be any harder than installing any other PHP / MySQL script.

You'd generally have to create a database on your hosting account.
Upload the files and follow the installation instructions

Php/MySQL is available with most hosting plans these days, so the costs are minimal
