I am thinking about upgrading my two graphics crads around christmas and I was just browsing Komplett and I am a little confused by all the makes on modesl of the the GTX 280 out there. There is over a half dozen to choose from!

There seems to be very little difference in performance but a massive difference in price.

take these two for example which are at ether end of the price scale:

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=355267 €380

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=361815 €667

and the only main difference that I can see is 89MHz in the clock speed. Is that whats costing an extra €287 quid here? (besides the copper piping and such)

Only differences are warranties the companies offer (which do vary) and the free tat in the box.

Go for the cheapest you can get that is in stock.

Or go for a cheap EVGA model to avail for there 90 day step up program and their 10 year warranty.

Thank you! 10 years is more than enough! Who ever keeps a card for more than 10 years anyways?

The pre-installed water block instead of a aircooled heatsink would be a good start, coupled with the fact that the warranty still holds with watercooling.
