South Kildare Camera Club Starting Up

Hi folks,

There's a group of us meeting tonight at 8pm in the Keadeen Hotel in Newbridge to start up a new camera club for south Kildare county, e.g. Monasterevin, Kildare Town, Newbridge, Naas, etc.

The area has been lacking a club with residents either commuting to Celbridge or Portlaoise or attending a club near where they work in Dublin.

All interested parties are welcome. There's a startup site in place at http://southkildarephoto.wordpress.com/

Hopefully we'll see some of you there tonight or in the near future.

I live in Newbridge and would have been very interested, but I work shifts and the 2 thursdays a month you'll be meeting on are the 2 thursdays I'll be working...one on nights and the other not getting home till nearly 8. I would have liked to do the studio shoot, but again, I'm working....

We've heard something simlar from another interested person in the area. We may have a look at the schedule.

Thursday the 30th is the next meeting at a venue to be decided, we should have somewhere next week hopefully.

I don't know why the email is bouncing, I'll get the guys to look into it.

Hi folks, just thought I'd add to the thread with an update and a thanks to the first members who started the club. We have grown as a club to a regular weekly meeting with approx 30 attendees and have our new website up and running... see us at http://www.southkildarephoto.com
