Last night, Sarah Palin said she didn't want to talk about Wurzelbacher. "I begged our speechwriters, 'Don't make me say Joe the Plumber, please, in any speeches," she said. After failing to properly vet Wurzelbacher's situation, the McCain campaign is apparently now throwing him overboard and moving on.

The campaign is holding a conference call today with Russ Deker, an individual the McCain camp is calling "a Missouri 'Joe the Plumber.'"

poor guy is being recast!!!! :D:rolleyes::D

Ah Fox, the last refuge of the puppet and the right wing partisan!

Joe: "The media is worried about whether I've paid my taxes, they're worried about any number of silly things that have nothing to do with America."

Really? i'd have said that he was a GOP plant except for the fact that he hasn't been paying all his taxes! You've really got to hand it to Mike Huckabee though. He does love attention and an audience! Even got his own show now, filled with adoring white middle class Republican drones in the crowd. They had a Wall Street Journal economist on with Joe last night, who was so biased i had to turn it off after about 5 mins.

    Part 1

    Part 2

Wall street Journal was bought by News corp a few months back. News corp are owned by Ruport Murdoch. They also own and run fox news. Therefore they are now a worthless right wing rag, which is a sad thing really.

Oh yeah - i read about that around the time but had since forgotten. The WSJ was always pretty Republican-leaning i think (like many in the financial world), but this economist dude was unreal!

The more McCain slides, the more Fox seems to be ratcheting up the negative reporting on Obama. They've been running a scintillating piece of 'investigative journalism' the last day or two called "Barack Obama: Ties that bind?" - lol, no prizes for guessing what that's about

if you spaced out during the joe interview like i did you would have noticed all the attacks on obama's campaign running across the screen too.

Once he opened it up to questions from the rent-an-audience, i switched. i think the first questioner opened with "It's good to be here". *shudder*

    It seems the saga continues.

    http://www.dispatch.com/live/content/local_news/stories/2008/10/24/joe.html?sid=101

Various Ohio government departments are now investigating other government departments over the accessing of Joe's records.

Apparently there is some curiousity as to why Toledo PD, The Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency and an account assigned to the State AG's IT Department had had a look at Joe's file just after the debate.

    NTM

Joe should have plumbed to keep his big mouth shut. Hope that he has no skeletons in his (water) closet.

I don't think he's in any particular trouble, unlike the individuals in those three agencies.

    Please note the following facts about Joe the Plumber;

    1) His name is not Joe. That is his middle name.
    2) He is not a plumber and
    3) He complains that Obama's tax rate on rich people amounts to socialism while he seemingly has no problems with Obama's tax CUTS.

Oh and apparently he is thinking of running for Congress. Only in America...

Now hear his opinions on Israel and the election!!!!
Basically the election of Obama will result in the death of Israel, Joe doesn't know McCains policy but thinks its better.

I dont get why people think because he would sit down with mushaharaff that suddenly means israel is ****ed. Because you know, you cant try and talk sense into people at a table, oh no.

McCain was stupid enough to put that Wurzelbacher clown on the stump and he's already ****ed up.
    Quote:
Joe Wurzelbacher, a.k.a. "Joe the Plumber," on Tuesday twice agreed with a claim from an audience member at a John McCain rally that "a vote for Barack Obama is a vote for the death to Israel."

Wurzelbacher was hitting the campaign trail on behalf of McCain for the first time, joining former Rep. Rob Portman on a GOP bus tour through Ohio.

At a stop in Columbus, he fielded the question on Israel from a self-identified Jewish senior citizen.

The questioner said he was "concerned" with Barack Obama's associations and "It's my belief that a vote for Obama is a vote for the death to Israel."

Wurzelbacher responded: "I do know that."

The questioner then complained about Obama's tax policies and reiterated his Israel comment.

"Well, you know what, I'll actually go ahead and agree with you on that one," Wurzelbacher said. "You know ... no, I agree with ya.'"

That's not the only stupid thing this idiot says in the article. He also burbles this bit of multi-layered ignorance:

"I love America. I hope it remains a democracy, not a socialist society. ... If you look at spreading the wealth, that's honestly right out of Karl Marx's mouth," Wurzelbacher said.
"No one can debate that. That's not my opinion. That's fact."

Now can any McCain supporter out there tell me exactly how this guy is going to generate more votes for McCain.

Surely the people who are attracted to this guy already decided months ago to vote for McCain while the vital undecided group are surely not going to be attracted to Joe the Plumbers International opinion ?

It's happening...I feel like I'm entering the twilight zone..

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2008/oct/30/joe-plumber-country-singer
The article states that Joe, real name Sam Wurzelbacher, has "just signed with a Nashville public relations and management firm to handle interview requests and media appearances, as well as create new career opportunities, including a shift out of the plumbing trade into stage and studio performances."

Wurzelbacher's new representative Jim Della Croce says he plans to extend the brand of "Joe the Plumber" beyond the allotted 15 minutes of fame. "He is a dynamic speaker and an everyman who has become an overnight celebrity," said Croce. "It's going to be our job to find Joe's strengths and give him some options."

And just to remind people of his latest media outing:
