Octocon Science Fiction Convention this weekend 18-19 October

    Octocon, Ireland's national Sci Fi and Fantasy convention is on this weekend in the Royal Dublin Hotel on O'Connell Street.
    Our guest of honour is the esteemed Ken MacLeod, author of Newton's Wake, Learning the World, The Sky Road and The Execution Channel.
    We're going to have a lot of interesting panels, workshops and a generally relaxed air of good cheer for the entire weekend. We'd be delighted if you would join us.
    Membership for adults is 30 euro, for Students it's 12 euro.

    Let us not fail to mention the evening activities - The Video Vault of Horror, where we celebrate the worst in this year's cinema and award the World-Famous "Vaulties". This celebration of all things cinematically abominable will be followed by our Casino.
