Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If West Brom continue with their attacking, entertaining style, I can see it going 4-2 in United's favour. Maybe with one of the goals being an OG, another being a penalty.

I think this'll be the team

    1224206210523711.jpg

Maybe with Hargreaves/Anderson in for Carrick, depending on who's the fittest/least jetlagged

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

I have absolutely no idea what team it's going to be to be honest. That's what excites me :)

I can't see Nani or Neville starting. Neville is finished IMO, a great servant he has been but I don't think he will be able to regain the required fitness / endurance required for PL football as this stage.

Rooney hat trick on the way :)
Edit: Also can see Evans maybe getting a chance don't ask why :) Just a feeling.

Not a hope in hell Berbatov wont start imo.

    3-0 Rooney to score 2, Berbatov 1. :)

The reason i have Neville in there is because i think Brown will be rested for the celtic game. Also i think it will be Nani on Saturday and then Park on Tuesday.

surely theres some chance Berbatov wont start;)

I reckon theres a possibility of Fergie resting Rooney and playing Tevez and Berbs up front

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,529 ✭✭✭Im_No_Superman

Would be madness to drop Rooney in the form he is in now. Plus he was rested against Bolton a couple of weeks ago.

Important question is who'll be the ref?

I am going for 3-0, Rooney to score 2 and Ronaldo to score 1. Although it could be the other way around

    3-0 for United

    Rooney will definitely start!!

Any injuries to worry about? Anyone back from injury?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 46,447 ✭✭✭✭Mitch Connor

Tevez won't start, he only arrived back at 2pm today, and with Celtic on Tuesday night Fergie will be keeping the team fresh.

Giggs will DEFINITELY start, Fergie said so today in the press conference, as he was the only senior player to remain at OT this week for training so that is why. Carrick and Hargreaves will not be available; won't make Celtic either, apparently.

    I'd guess

    van der Sar

    Neville
    Rio
    Vidic
    Evra

    Ronaldo
    Fletcher
    Giggs
    Nani

    Rooney
    Berbatov

Tevez, Anderson, Brown, Amos, O'Shea, Evans, Welbeck

my guess at the team and bench.

Brown may come in for Neville, then Anderson and Tevez possibly being kept for Tuesday

    Subs:

Great stream. There's no way that was a free kick against Rooney for the goal.

Well he owes them one big decision now. Also as a Pool fan, I thought Dossena should have gone for a lunge early in the match earlier. If the fans had reacted he might well have walked but because it was in Anfield, it just didn't feel like a red card offence. This happens all the time.

The Rooney goal should have stood.

Edit: Crap, Evra's gone off. :(

No doubt. Just potining out, it works both ways. And when United don't get a decision, not much is normally said.
