Signed up myself too. Wonder how the selection process will go.
Maybe they track the usage of your existing phone geographically to see if your a good fit for the test?

Won't this just be Eircom broadband realistically?!

No, it'll be on Meteor's 3g mobile network.

I know, but my chances are slim anyway. All they have to do is check my 3G stats and they'll see that I'm only getting erratic coverage. I.e none at work and none at home.

Said I'd give others the chance, me being so considerate and all :D

Obviously no rush as the closing date's in November, but would have thought there would have been more interest in this.
Maybe a post in the Broadband forum ?

Anyone got a call back yet? I wonder what they will give their trial customers this time? Obviously the internet will be free from November to the end of Janurary. Maybe keep the USB dongle after the trial, the same cash incentive as the mobile 3G trial? Anyone got any other suggestions ? Meteor might be reading this ;)

I'm guessing this will be the page when the service launches in 2009, all it says is "Test Page " at the moment.

Very interested to see what Meteor are going to come up with in terms of plans and pricing and also in terms of modems etc.

As for coverage .. I have little faith in their 3G network at the moment (due to the small area it covers) but I'm assuming they're expanding this as the trial continues :)

Hopefully the mobile and pda's gang is chosen again :)

Maybe they might listen this time.
*Tops up 3 SIM by €10 for data, sighs*

i'd really like to see them do something new with pricing - maybe a deal with Eircom to provide a fixed line/mobile broadband and telephone combo, all your telco needs for, say, €70 a month ?

i'd definitely go for a deal with basic home broadband plus mobile for €25 plus line rental p/m ?

Having said that they didn't show much desire for a fight with their "me too" 3G pricing :(
