Just called me too. Did not ask much questions they just gave information. The trial runs from now to Febuary. They will send the modem out over the next couple of days. Its worth about €80 for the modem but you get to keep it at the end of the trial. You also get €50 free credit at the end too. You get a free day trial pass. Each day pass is 4.99 or 29.99 for the month.

Is that not the same as O2 and vodafone?

just got a call from Meteor.

    I'm in too!:)

4.99/day or 29.99 a month - paid by buying credit in a shop and ringing 1905 or online using the meteor website

I was told that speeds will be up to 7.2Mbs and minimum of 3.6Mbs with 10GB download cap. Available in Dublin and Corks areas only.

I'd be very happy if I get 3.6Mbps minimum!

O2 have it on offer for €20 per month, hoped it would be closer to that.

I find the minimum speed mentioned very doubtful.

it's supposed to be guaranteed come the end of february 09, i'm not holding my breath but i've heard some very big claims from the ericsson roll-out team

Come February is a different story, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

You might get speeds of 3.6Mbs until it goes public. Then im sure the speeds will reduce like the other operators.

Did anyone get it who doesn't have a Dublin or Cork address? See on their comment cards changed asking about 3G (only if you say that you live in Dublin or Cork)

    I never got a call :(

i'm figuring they have maybe a few hundred people to call so I'm not worried yet.
Although if they're doing them in the order people signed up I'm probably out.

So it'll cost you from day 2 ? Hmmm ...
Would have thought that 2 months free from the off would encourage more use and therefore a better trial ?
