Using Mobile as Webcam

I was just wondering was this possible . Would you need special software ?If it is possible could the microphone on the mobile be used for talking on the likes of skype etc ?

what phone? There are apps for S60 and wm phones....

Just stumbled across this www.qik.com/m

This app had a huge WOW factor for me. Extremely easy to install and use.
Does audio too - it recorded what I was listening to on the phone at the time. Plus it stores your videos YouTube style.

Caveats - Eats your battery for breakfast and you'll want to have some sort of data arrangement going on before you even look at using it.

Can see this being VERY dangerous but an unholy amount of fun

Just was trying out Qik just now and I gotta say it seems pretty awesome!

Not only can people watch the stream live but it also saves and can be watched back at anytime.
