BMW 330d 2002 dash display reads between 55-64mpg
My own calculations works it out to be an average of 56 mpg

Thanks to the 8c extra on petrol, combined with my 110 mile-per-day commute, I'm seriously considering changing into a diesel.

    1.4 06 Opel Tigra Twintop 90bhp
    45 litre tank
670 km per tank on average
MPG works out at about 46.

I reckon I'd be breaking well over 50 if I didn't have to do so much 3rd gear overtaking.

    01 BMW 318 Ci

I get about 300 miles per tank, tank is 60 litres so that works out at about 23mpg.

    It's a good thing I don't do much mileage

    Ford Focus 1.8 TDCI 2004
600 - 650 miles per tank, so averages from 54 to 60 miles per gallon.

Ya it is fairly bad, I filled it last week and I'm down to half a tank now with 120miles done(All Urban).

I reset the trip when I last filled it, so I'll be back with an exact figure Monday.

I had an integra before this and got between 30-35mpg out of that.

I was recently commuting from dublin to dungarvan, waterford everyday. Not any more thankfully .A mixture of motorway, dual carraige way, A and B roads.

I had to make my petrol last i was getting 550 miles between fill ups and when i'd go to fill up id get 65 litres into a 70 litre tank so i could've got 590miles i'd say.

This worked out around 40mpg and thats from a 1998 manual petrol BMW 528i,i never went above 70mph only when overtaking and was always using the cruise control.

This was exceptional for a big engined petrol car,im delighted i bought this car 4 years ago.this car will also do 0-60 in 6.8 secs,Everyone should buy one i think.

Hope i never have to buy a diesel!!!

    Audi A4 2006 1.9 TDi rempapped to 145BHP

57-60MPG. Current prices around €80 to fill tank.

Honda Civic 1.8 petrol, 140bhp. I get about 38mpg with mixed open roads/town driving. I could probably squeeze a few more mpg out of it if I didn't want to have any fun with it.

Well, if computers count, then the S-Max 2.0 diesel reports 6.9 l/100km, which is 40 mpg overall. The Kangoo, lets see, I have a receipt here for a weeks fuel, it's 38 litres or 8.35 gallons, and thats about 270 miles: 32 mpg from an 1150 cc petrol.

    E46 320 Cd, 150 bhp
Around town, I average 32-35 mpg
On a long trip, motorway driving, I can get about 60 mpg:D

    2003 Audi A4 1.8T
Getting about 450-460 miles to a tank. 65 litre tank.
Mixture of city and motorway driving

    2004 (05 Build Spec) John Cooper S Works. 210bhp.
31mpg with average driving in a mix of urban and suburban conditions. If i hockey it it can drop as low as 20mpg! About 350miles to a tank (thats what the computer says anyway)
Its a good job it manages to put a smile on my face every time i drive it, thats all ill say.

    Audi A4 130bhp

57MPG long communtes everyday to work helps to keep the figure high very little urban driving

That's poor, my 1993 520i does around 28 mpg(it doesn't have a trip computer so I don't know exactly), and that includes tharashing down back roads at the 6,500 rpm.

I'd say I get around 23-25 mpg in urban driving and if I'm sensible it'll do over 35 mpg in Motorway/Dual Carriageway driving.

Golf Gt sport 1.4 140bhp. 10L/100Km according to trip computer around town on a long journey usually get 5.6 or 6L/100Kms. 55L tank usually put 46liters in every two weeks and that covers around 500Km's which is 10.8L/100Kms

Are you driving in traffic all the time? I also have a 01 318ci and the computer says 31mpg which is about right, that would be mixed driving but I do drive quite fast so its not terrible consumption. On a long drive I would get better mileage although driving at 80mph+ on motorways does get rid of fuel quickly.

Actually that really is bad mileage I got almost 300 miles out of just over half a tank on a long trip this week and I wasn't hanging around

    60% motorway driving / 40% intra-city

702 miles in a full tank (70 litres)

Works out to about 45.6 mpg combined.. Can't complain!

05 Mondeo tdci 130bhp - I get 52-53 mpg by calculating at every fill.
Onboard display is very optomistic, usually 10-15% so.

    '95 Ford Escort 1.3L pushrod (60bhp)

    1998 Nissan Almera Diesel

    45-47 MPG, (70% backroads, 30% urban)

Not great for a diesel but it's depreciation free!! :)
