    I have a 06 Mondeo 2.0tdci 115bhp - dont have on board display.

But full tank until the fuel light comes on I only average 650km per tank - is this below normal? What would the MPG be? Im clueless....

650 km is just over 400 miles, but without knowing the capacity of your fuel tank, it's impossible to work out your MPG.

It's the other way around. I'm assuming that as the person who mentioned the S4 and the Camaro is a US resident, that person is using their(US) mpg rather than our mpg.

That being the case, his S4 does around 27 mpg and the Camaro does around 33.5 mpg, which is pretty impressive all things considered.

    I am duly educated.

That said, it must be said that most of my driving is motorway, not stop/go in Dublin traffic. Then again, I tend to skip a lot of the intermediate gears and just go straight from 'I'm moving' to sixth/fifth.

The current Corvette is rated at about 28mpg (US) highway because its gearbox actually prevents you from using the lower, high-revving gears unless you've got the hammer down and really want high accelration.

    NTM

In fairness, most owners of a 310bhp Impreza with a non-standard fuel tank would at least be able to spell 'Impreza'. Don't you think?:D

I get about 300 miles per tank, tank is 60 litres so that works out at about 23mpg.

    It's a good thing I don't do much mileage
Are you driving in traffic all the time? I also have a 01 318ci and the computer says 31mpg which is about right, that would be mixed driving but I do drive quite fast so its not terrible consumption. On a long drive I would get better mileage although driving at 80mph+ on motorways does get rid of fuel quickly.

Actually that really is bad mileage I got almost 300 miles out of just over half a tank on a long trip this week and I wasn't hanging around

    Get that checked mate, I've a 330ci clubsport and I get 21mpg, and I drive like a lunatic !

My normal commute to work is about 3 miles, driving in traffic.

I filled it a couple of weeks ago and reset the trip.

When refilling today I had done 330 miles and it took 56 litres.

So that's 27mpg, not as bad as I thought:)

I did about 140 miles in traffic, my fuel guage was down to about half after this. The rest was motorway miles.

By your "last" car do you mean the RX-8? What happened?

A case of you can afford the car but not the petrol? :p

Regularly get 55+mpg from my 1.9tdi golf. Its usually 570-590miles before the light comes on and i've gotten 645miles out of a tank before but that was right down to the limit of the tank.
