    Hey people!

Just wondering , what books are you guys using for the comaparative texts study and what those books have in common i.e their general theme, cultural context etc........

It would be very helpfull if you could list the books and explain briefly the relationship between them.

    Thanks!

Philidelphia, Here I come!; The curious incident of the dog in the nighttime; Cinema Paradiso.

Haven't fully decided on what themes I'm doing yet.

It's not all about what they have in common! Far more interesting if they're different. My crowd are doing Truman, Philadelphia and Curious Incident - theme is escape.

Thanks for the comments, they were very helpfull and i've picked up some great ideas.

I'm thinking about the father and son relationship it seems quite straight forward (something that isn't too complicated,I study from home without much help so anything simple is very helpfull) ,but i'll look into all the suggestions and see what works best for me.

    Anyways thanks again.

Anybody doing Kepler? I really like the thought of doing it but don't know what themes would be common with most other texts.

Purple Hibiscus, the Plough and the Stars, Cinema Paradiso.

We're doing politics, religion and relationships.

Why are you doing three themes? Or are politics and religion part of your cultural context?
