    Hey folks.

Im starting up my own forestry company and im wondering if any of you artistic masters might be able to help me come up with a logo. Since im specialising in Native woodland schemes, im thinking of something along the lines of a broad-leaf tree and maybe a harp incorporated into it, (if that's allowed by the trademark/logo authority.

Also i think something incorporating something to reflect irish associations with forestry (Oak being out national tree).

Im sort of after a design that is instantly recognizable as an irish company, with maybe some Gaelic in the title.

If any one of you artistic masters could come up with something, i would be happy to offer monetary compensation. (Im using these terms so as i dont run foul of our glorious moderators.)

    Regards,

    Caoimhin O Dochartaigh.

    Hi mate,

Does the company have a name yet? I gather not...

Also what kind of thing will ye be doing? Landscaping? I'm not really sure what's meant by "im specialising in Native woodland schemes" :p

Just wanna make sure I'm not... barking up the wrong tree :o

Yeah, having no name to work with would make making a strong logo harder... Is this a private business for yourself or something bigger? I don't know much about forestry but is it like a plumber looking for a logo for his van or are you looking for a logo for stationery, etc?

Why do you need to blatantly distinguish yourself as Irish when you're operating just in Ireland and have an Irish sounding name? I think there would be better ways to connect Irish forestry to your company logo like colour, the oak leaf you mentioned etc rather than a Harp.

Is there a reason why you feel a harp would be suitable; would it appeal to whoever you're business is meant for? Would there be a wider market than people who the harp would have appeal? Like foreign nationals or other workers, foreign business? There's loads of old Gaelic imagery related to nature and forests as alternatives.

Just asking because I'm not clear about what you would like the logo to do for you; who it's aimed for, where it would be used etc.

Anyway, best of luck with the new business!
