Hey, recently my housemate had to move home due to complications, and I'm looking for someone to move in. I have a 3 bedroom flat in the city center, the bedroom open is pretty small but the house itself is very nice, 5 minutes from town, 15 from college. Rent is about 400 a month.

I'm a 19 year old female Arts student at NUIG studying archeology who likes drinking, gaming and martial arts. I'm looking for someone early twenties, student or otherwise, male or female, easy going, preferably with some interest in video games or scifi fantasy type stuff.

If I wasn't moving to London soon, I'd definitely be interested.

I fit the criteria I think. (Not pulling the piss). Have you found anyone OP? I'm getting a place soonish but the current set up I was hoping for might fall through. I should know by the end of the week. Best of luck anyway.

This may be the first time I've ever agreed with the original poster of anything.

Deary me. Try harder, gentle plebians, I'm disappointed. Or at least I would be if I ever expected anything from other internet users.

    Hurtful stereotypes, Sarky?

T'was only a bit of harmless fun. Sure we're all internet geeks here anyway, it wasn't all that necessary to mention it in the OP

Yet another relatively serious thread posted in the Galway city forum which has descended into farce-is there any chance a mod can do something to reign in those who ruin relatively serious threads?

I agree with Kippy, serious threads should not be replied to so they quickly fall off page 1 and into oblivion.

ah come on of course there was going to be a few joke replies. better off putting up posters in college or asking your friends though, might be more helpful.

What's that I hear? The sound of the worlds smallest violin.

To echo the above poster - serious thread me hole.

I'd love to live in a nerd house, but my current setup is far to sweet to give up. (Also I think constant nerdiness would eventually break me)

G'luck finding someone, if I hear of anyone looking I'll send 'em on to you.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,210 ✭✭✭✭JohnCleary

A nerd house could be OK I guess - A nerd probably cleans up after themselves and prob likes cooking etc.

However, a geek house? Hmm, probably doesn't know how to clean the place up, lives on noodles, smells like sh1te and scares girls away

Linux is just the (popular) common man's kernel.
    It's not an OS.

I thought this was a joke. Where are the stats for the BB connection, consoles, telly, fridge and sandwich toaster?

And kippy, thanks for the suggestion but no. While some replies were plain jest, several of them were genuine.

    I fit the criteria.

I can't pay you any money, I may eat some or all of your food and I wear the same underpants three days in a row. I will however partake in your "gaming" and surprise you with a roundhouse kick every now and again.

    Sorry for ruining your thread
