Was passing the bottle shop off license on Meath street (Cork street end) yesterday and saw that they had Duff beer for sale (as in the Simpson's Duff beer, made from the finest H2ohyeah!)

Has anyone tried it yet? how long has it been for sale?

    Never seen it.

    Is it this stuff? http://www.duffdemexico.com/

Wikipedia tells me there is a british beer going by the name Duff (Gaelic for dark) as well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duff_Beer#Real_Duff_beers

I saw it for sale in a Spar near my house last week. I haven't tried it yet, but it was pretty expensive as far as I remember: thirteen euro for 6 bottles, I think, so I doubt I'll ever give it a go.

    Already discussed in BGRH

It's also available outside Dublin

We're also due to get electricity and running water in the near future too!

And yeah, it is the duffdemexico.com stuff, I think.

Seems to be, though contract brewed in Belgium. It's nothing special: the branding is far more entertaining than the beer.

Anyone seen this for sale in Dublin City Centre? My halloween costeme is Duffman so it would be very cool.

I bought it in Deveney's in Rathmines (€2.50), but I'd be surprised if the likes of Carvill's and Whelan's weren't selling it.

Saw some in that Mace/Spar/Centra shop in the IFSC, I'm sure many other fine establishments are also stocking it.

Riggwelter strong dark ale is the best of their beers on sale in Ireland, IMO. Lovely stuff.

Had a bottle of this last night, wasn't great (although it was warm so that may have been it) but it wasn't terrible, For sale in fibber mcgees too.

not and uncommon practice to use the cold to cover up brewing flaws
