Help in identifying these birds

    Hi All

    I'm new to bird watching. I was doing ok up to now when I found these birds (see attached photos).

    In the first pic there are three Mallards in the background but I'm not sure about the birds in the foreground

    Can anyone identify them?

    Domestic ducks and mallard cross , more pure looking Mallard in the background.

    Yep... they look like hybrids all right. There are a few in UCD on the lake. Late oe evening in bad light I was convinced I could see shellduck :P!
