    Congratulations, my own parents were only 46 when I made them grandparents for the first time,
    I was 23 at the time.

    Honestly it's not that unusual, but I am sure the parents to be didn't mean to shock you.

    Think about being 60 or 65 when the kid is in the teens. better than being 70 or 75 right

    Congrats.

    My mother became a granny at 40 and 5+ weeks later she gave birth to my youngest sister. We used to say granny's pregnant.

    At 4:05am this morning I became a Granddad!!! :D

    I have a Grandson, Jordan, 7lbs 13oz. a week and a half early, but both mother and child are doing well.

    My 2 month old loves her grandads more then anyone else at the moment,They are warm and have nice wide shoulders..:)
    Congrats to your daughter too,I hope she loves being a mammy as much as I do.

    Aw congratulations!! Jordan is a lovely name, and a lovely weight also!! My baby was only 6lbs when she was born :D!

    Her granddad dotes on her!! And she loves her granddad!! Enjoy it! It'll only be in a couple of years they'll be teenagers!!
