I bought 'Cars' on Blu ray from Zavvi a few weeks back for €24 (this was not a special offer, it was the standar price) Last weekend I saw that they had an offer on, buy 3 blu rays get the cheapest one free. I noticed that Cars was now priced at €30. Is this type of practice allowed? Can they just bump up the price immediately before having a 3 for 2 offer??

Yes they can do this. There is nothing wrong with what they have done. Its a free market and its down to the buyer deciding if something is worth the price.

A shop should have the right to increase goods just as well as the rights to reduce goods providing that they keep withinn the consumer laws, 28 days before advertising a reduced price from X price to Y price etc..

Was in Birmingham 2 weeks ago. Morrisson's supermarket had all Blue Rays such as Casino Royale all priced at £9.99 ST which converts to approx €12.This was not a one off offer, they are always that price.
