Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fans of Oliver Stone need look no further!
Acknowledged as one of Hollywood's most powerful and acclaimed directors, Stone has created films that have consistently proved to be thought-provoking, visually compelling works of art that have earned him three Academy Awards, (Best Director for 'Platoon' and 'Born on the Fourth of July'; Best Writing, Adapted Screenplay for 'Midnight Express') as well as five Golden Globes and many other awards including the Directors Guild of America and Independent Spirit Awards.
This box set presents an absolute 13 disc feast of Stone's most prominent works...

    Includes:
    1. Salvador: El Salvador, 1980: Richard Boyle, veteran war photo-journalist, is sent to capture the bloodshed and brutality of El Salvador on film. In El Salvador, injustices of the civil war are plain to see. Boyle's mission is to expose the savage government which employs the murderous death squads to deal with dissenters.
    2. Platoon: Writer/director Oliver Stone has created a personal and searing testament to the men who fought the war in Vietnam. Seen through the eyes of a college drop-out, the war is a real nightmare, a private hell of fears from outside and in, with enemies on both sides of the line. His platoon's allegiance is split between leaders Sergeant Barnes and Sergeant Elias.
    3. Wall Street: From the director of 'Platoon', Oliver Stone, comes a new battle set in the greatest jungle of them all, Wall Street: a place where honour is traded for power, and peace of mind for a piece of the action. Against this background, two men form a dangerous friendship - one a ruthless multi-millionaire corporate raider, the other a newly minted power hungry young broker.
    4. Born On The Fourth Of July: Tom Cruise delivers a riveting and unforgettable portrayal of Vietnam veteran Ron Kovic in Oliver Stone's Academy Award winning masterpiece.
    5. The Doors - Special Edition: Oliver Stone give us his take on the life of rock star Jim Morrison whose life came tragically to an end in a haze of drug abuse.
    6. JFK (Director's Cut) - Special Edition: JFK, Oliver Stone's powerful film about the shots heard round the world and the mystery that still surrounds them, is one of the most provocative movies of our time. In addition to its box office success, critical acclaim and awards, it played a major role in the national debate that led to the passage of the 1992 Assassination Materials Disclosure Act.
    7. Heaven And Earth: Tommy Lee Jones and Joan Chen "turn in award-caliber performances" (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone) in the powerful story of a man who fought, a woman who endured...and a love caught up in the explosive wartime upheaval of a land and a people caught between Heaven And Earth.
    8. Natural Born Killers: From two of the world's most controversial filmmakers, Quentin Tarantino and Oliver Stone, comes one of the most controversial films ever made. Meet Mickey (Woody Harrelson) and Mallory (Juliette Lewis) - the most terrifying and relentless cold-blooded killers imaginable. Rejected by society, these two lost souls embark on a murderous rampage.
    9. U-Turn: A small time gambler and a hot and cold vixen are desperate to get out of town. And after you meet the citizens of Superior, Arizona, you'll understand why...
    10. Any Given Sunday - Special Edition (2 Discs): An old-school football coach, an injured quarter back and a slithery doctor are the major players as Oliver Stone explores the fortunes of the Miami Sharks...
