New Dell Monitor

    Hi,

    I'm thinking of purchasing a new monitor for myself and have found this one from Dell

    I'm just not sure about the 1000:1 conrast ratio. Is this good. I see there are other monitors that can be between 3000:1 and up to 8000:1.

    I do quite a bit of gaming, so is 1000:1 good enough for that?

    Appreciate any advice.

    Most of the contrast claims are a crock of sh1te...
    A lot of it is very with software afterwards to extend it further..
    stick with the dell one...it's a fantastic monitor.

    looks good, decent enough price aswell

    in contrast (it's a pre empted pun, wait for it :D), im just after buying this the other day here for the same price. look at the contrast ratio...20,000:1

    i wouldnt really notice the difference between the samsung at work which is a 22" 3000:1 (i think) and my new one.

    I wouldnt pay much attention to the contrast ratio either

    I have that screen and only game on it, watch movies(porn) and the likes. Its perfect for what you want. Good for text docs too.
