Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fumes from boiler

Does anyone know if there is a way of testing to see if there is fumes, eg Carbon Monoxide, getting into your house ? I'm living in a rented house with a very old oil fired heating system, and since I've started using it this year we've been feeling very tired all the time and falling asleep !
Might be a bit far-fetched but it's just something I'd like to check.

    Thanks.

Buy a Carbon Monoxide tester from a good hardware / DIY store and leave plugged in.

Thanks for that, I'm beside Capel St, hopefully can pick one up in one of the hardware shops there.

Sounds like you are being CO posioned. Insist on landlord getting service man out ASAP and don't use appliance if in any doubt.

Cheers, I've bought a CO detector, I'll try it later and shut down the boiler if it tests positive.

Get a heating engineer in to service the boiler and ask him to run a gas analyser around the boiler to confirm it's safe.
