Can somebody please give me any information.I was diagnosed with diabetes when i was 17 now im 25.I attended our ladys hospital in crumlin until i was 21 then i attended st james hospital. My query is that for a job i need a record to say my diabetes is under control and a load of cr*p like that.Do i have the right to get all my records from james hospital??And would they have a file originally sent from our ladys hospital??

james told me id have to meet the professor in a few months and they would even doubt it if he can give a letter to say its under control.

How often have you seen the consultant? My guy gave me a letter, I see him every six months. It just said that I was under his care, no complications, never been hospitalised and said that my HB1AC indicated I had good control.

You're GP should have discharge letters following every out patient and in patient episode. They should be able to sort you out.
