I need to have my collection of matchbox cars evaluated and was wondering if anyone could recommend a insurance company or auctioneer who might specialise in this field

    Hello...

I don't think you will get an insurance company to value your collection. What you may have to do is vale the collection yourself and get a model shop to confirm the value. I have done this for several customers who buy from me on a regular basis.

I would offer to do it for you but we don't deal in secondhand models so would not have a clue of the valuation.

There is a show in sandyford once a month, there are a couple of guys there who can value older models, maybe they could confirm your valuation.... if your insurance company will accept this.

E-bay or Vectis.com are usually good guides for prices.

There are some insurance companies advertising in Model collector and The Diecast Collector magazines, all of them based in the UK so maybe they cover Ireland as well.
