Hey, hoping to go to UL next year and will be going to Limerick with a few friends some of which will be going to Lit , would it be possible to get a house in between UL and Lit would there be much commuting to both everyday?

And also im thinking about doing the History, politics and Sociology course. Is there anyone doing it and if so what do they think about?

    Thanks.

    That'd in in "the city".

    One bus each way.

Honestly mate I know you might not think this now but you'd be just as well moving somewhere close to UL, you meet loads of new people and you will still be able to see your mates the whole time.

Getting a bus everyday will be a real pain and might end with you just not going half the time.

ye i think ur better of moving in with people you dont know at all and hanging out with them for the first few weeks and hanging out with people in your course

from what i have seen of people who live with friends from school

-the first few weeks they do everything together and therefore dont get in other when everyone is new and in the making new friends stage

-after first year they find it harder ot break into these other groups

-people inevitibly drop out and as they do your social group will get noticeably smaller fast and you will have missed all the great opportunities of making new friends at the start of the year

-this probably wont happen but you dont really know someone till you live with them if you dont want to risk hating any of your friends after first year dont live with them

obviously these are worst case scenarios but iv seen it happen
