Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was made reduntant last month and am getting Jobseekers benefit. My husband has just been told that his hours will be cut drastically from next month and suddenly our income will be less than our mortgage payments. We have some savings though, which would last about a year. Trying to figure out what if any help we can get other than job seekers benefit. We have 3 children. We moved house only last year, so I cant see any benefit going interest only with the mortgage either. Don't want to approach bank for a while until we have got our heads around what we are going to do. Have some big decisions ahead. Advice appreciated!

    Look up information on:

    Family Income Supplement (FIS)
    Medical Card/GP Card
Back to school clothing and footwear allowance (children over 2)

You will find information on all of the above on

    www.hse.ie
    www.welfare.ie
    www.citizensinformation.ie

Alternatively you can call into your local citizens information office and have a chat.

I am sure there are other options also, just check the related links/info when you are reading up on the above.

Best of luck, I hope things don't get too tough for you.
