Buying N96 off Ebay

    hey i have a price of £379 for a new unlocked Nokia N96 from a seller on Ebay and im very tempted to but it

    just wondering , if after a while you have issues with it , what happens then ?? is it covered by Nokia ?? who do you go too etc

    least if you get it on a bill u can contact provider and then might give u information etc

    best help plzzzzzzzzz

    You should be able to use your eBay proof of purchase to show to Nokia where you bought it from, if you encounter a problem. I did this with my Sony Ericsson handset recently so I would say it would be fine to do so with Nokia too.

    Edit: I also had to send my handset to the UK, as I bought it from a UK seller, to Kuehne & Nagel; a Sony Ericsson repair centre.

    I got a N76 off eBay and any issues I had with it were covered under Nokia warranty but I had to send it to Nokia importer Clear Solutions to be repaired and because the phone wasn't launched in Ireland getting it repaired meant it had to be sent away to the Uk and took about 2 weeks.

    You need to get one that was intended for the european market. If you do the warranty will work here with no proof of purchase necessary. If its from outside europe you'll have to send it back to the country of origin for warranty work. Very awkward.
