Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, just got this entertainment system thingy to go with my new 40" Sony X series tv (hehe) and there's a problem, it's sounds crisp and clean etc... but there is almost no bass coming from it? any idea why?

The sub woofer is working as i can hear it but there's almost no low end output.

Are you sure you've connected the Sub to the correct output on the Amp ? I've had an issue with a similar Sony system where the volume control on the Sub was set wrong. If you go into the setup a little further you'll find that you can control the volume of each speaker independently while the main volume controls the whole system at once.

when i go to do a manual test of all speakers it asks for a calibration mic which i don't have?

If you still have the use manual then refer to pages 72 & 73 which describes how to adjust the volume for each area manually.

I'm reading the manual I downloaded from here.

    Good luck.

Can anybody help? I have this SONY DVD Home Theatre System and SONY KDL-40W2000 TV. The manual says I should be able to play the TV sound through the speakers on the home theatre. I have tried different ways of running the cables fom my SKY box to the DVD and the TV. The nearest to success I have got is running a scart from the SKY box to the DVD then running a HDMI cable from the DVD to the TV and I get sound through the home theatre speakers but NO PICTURE! Cheers
