Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Well its possible, and its a hack but it works

    Anyways.. info here <snip>

Things I had to do to make it work

    In the .bat file,

Change the username for the cacls command to my current username.

Change the Terminal Services to TermServices as that is how it was listed in

    Run as administrator

Works very well for me at the moment.

Completely unsupported tho.. but hey if it works!

There are many nice, but also quite many really irritating aspects to Windows Vista. Some are due to Microsoft intentionally crippling their own products. One of the most tiresome has been the disabling of Remote Desktop Connection.
unfortunately microsoft licenses software so they make the rules and if they want to rape your wallet over a few key must have features there isn't a lot you can do, apart from buying an upgrade license, getting a third party software or figuring out a workaround that doesn't break the license.

there are other apps you can use to connect to the desktop
