Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello all,

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this. Im having a problem playing movies on my pc. Ive determined that the problem is a codec problem but i had them installed on my second partition (i have one for programs and one for xp). So they wont appear in add/remove programs.

Basicly the problem is every time i play a file with any media player (including vlc) the picture is verry dark, how i get around this is if i open the same video using another player the first player brightens up to the brightness its ment to be. i have been looking around and found this guide for removing codecs (i think the problem is clashing codecs) http://www.deskshare.com/help/vem/CheckingCodecs.aspx but every time i remove one and restart it is back up there again. ill post a pic of what codecs i have install in a sec.

i had tried to delete the ddl files in system 32 aswell but that didnt work (i backed them up aswell so everything is back the way it should be now). the players i have installed are:VLC, WMP, Real player,Winamp,Quicktime,Divx Player. ive tried several combos and it always ends out that i have to open a new player. Divx player worked for brightness but the sync of audio to video goes out every now and again.

Any help? ive tried everything i can think of.
