Judging by the amount of interest there has been among some of your contributors regarding the viability of the Galway Voice newspaper, im sure the news that the paper has shut down will come as little surprise.
The staff were told on Tuesday to down pens and were given letters to bring to the dole office. Sad for those who lost their jobs. Its the bosses who set up these unrealistic papers who i blame.:(

The only positive thing about this is that we'll never have to see manonthestreet on here again! :D

I do, however, feel very sorry for those who have lost their jobs. Hopefully they'll all see employment again soon.
