Am looking for recomendations for a good car mag to buy locally, one that concentrates on new cars and has good features on upcoming new models.
    Thanks.

It depends on what you want. I buy CAR magazine most months for a good balance of interesting features vs. opinionated reviews, without the lager lout Clarkson nonsense over at Top Gear.

However, it's more of a car porn mag with exotic Italian models and gorgeous photos than say, "What Car?", which is all about cost per mile, service intervals and centre armrests.

For upcoming stuff, the WhatCar? magazine is good, concentrates on regular machines instead of Bugatti Veyron reviews in TopGear mags, it gets boring after a while! :)

WhatCar is british, but I don't think any of the irish stuff is any good; the testers are very inconsistent, they love the most stupid things about some cars, and deride the good stuff for being predictable, then the following week proclaim the opposite. At least WhatCar is somewhat honest and consistent, except for the british weakness of adoring british designed/built utter rubbish. ;)

What car if you want to read reviews of "everyday" cars.

I subscrube to Evo, I would recommend it. A high standard of English. Fancy words with more than 5 letters and the like!

I don't rate CAR magazine at all. It's just design porn for black poloneck-wearing Audistas IMO.

Autocar is good, but since I get car news from the web I subscribe to Evo.

Evo is not a magazine for normal people though. It appeals to the sort of mindset that gets you into stupid internet fights with people over the demerits of four cylinder BMWs.

I'd say they have more Alfisti on staff than Audistas, but what they really love is a Porsche.
