    Hi all,

i have had a 00 a3 for a year now and it has never given any major problems, well until recently..

it has started to cut out at random times, for example today i was going around a bend,60kmh and it cut out, not ideal to lose power steering in the middle of a corner with cars on the other side of the road! it had also happened this morning as i was leaving my estate..

at first i thought it was my own fault, ie a foot slip but have now seen its not, when i try to start it again it takes maybe 3 seconds and an accelerator tap..

car has 110000 miles on it

    any help much appreciated

Sounds like a fuel or oil pump issue..did all the lights come on when it cut out or did the car just die? better to go get a mechanic to look at it in case it cuts out on the motorway...

    its 1.6 petrol.

i was thinking about the motorway problem as well but i think im ok as long as i have my foot on accelerator..it just dies,my indicator was on once and it just stopped working..
