Do you think governments should do something with the situation of retiring funds investing in stocks? Pensioners will loose a lot of money and they are not guilty for that.

now now dont be asking supid questions like that, you know we are in the age of socialism for the rich, think of the moral hazzard if everyone else got to feed at the trough

but seriously who ever guaranteed that investments always go up, at that rate everyone would lever up and go long (oops there I go talking about the banks again)

I'll try again , the only thing I can think of is that they relax some of the lock in rules so that workers dont have to crystalise their losses when they retire, however we could be in for a serious bear market that could last for years so there is no guarantee that the losses will ever be made up. this will affect people in many countries I'm afraid, so I cant see the logic of compensation, everyone is facing losses of some sort be it falling housing prices etc. the gains of the last few years were neither real nor sustainable. call it a life lesson which many seemed to have forgotten the last few years
