There was an article on this in one of the London papaers yesterday. The new Aerion Business Jet, with a cruising speed of up to 1.5mach. Forget my new bike Santa, can I have one of these? Apparantly they have just sold their first one. http://www.aerioncorp.com/

Such optimism of that company. The project will come so far and it'll be lost, i've seen it happen so many times. Farnborough aircraft being the latest example.

I notice they plan to use the PW JT8D engine which has been around since the 1960's. Surely there must be something more modern they could use?
