lowest rate of credit card on the market??

    Hi, i dont know where to start when it comes to applying for credit card. would anyone know the cheapest rate or best credit card product on the market. can i apply online and how long does it take to process. i never had a credit card before will this go against me when i apply, thanks

    As far as I know, AIB Click Visa card is the lowest rate at 8.5%.

    Some other cards offer intro rates, like 0% APR for six months, but then their rate goes up.

    Best bet is to check out the Financial Regulators website: http://www.itsyourmoney.ie/cs_tab.jsp

    You can apply for most credit cards online these days, but you will have to post in some further info like photo id, proof of address and 3-6 months bank statements.

    It usually takes a couple of weeks for banks to process the paperwork.

    "Best" is subjective, and application process lenghts will vary - read up the various sites and read the small print to find the best card for your circumstances.

    As for not having a card before - well not many people have had one before they get their first.. ;)
