ford focus 1.6 or 1.8 tdci?

friend of mine is looking for a focus diesel 05/06 which engine is best 1.6 tdci or 1.8 tdci, all advice welcome.

Hi Stevie, I saw that you got a 2.0 version here on the forums. Well was originally going for a 2005 but have decided to look at a 2008 version for the advantages in VRT/RoadTax and resell.

Budget wise it looks like from the online websites anything from 9.5-11K GBP. So hoping to get a zetec model or similar with extras nothing bigger than 1.8....which means a euro total (with additional costs) of 15K+
