Upgrade to Core2 Duo

Currently on a X2 4200+, 8800GT, 3GB ram. The 8800GT is limited in games now by the CPU and its time I got a new one.

Budget is about €300 but the cheaper the better. Found this kit on Komplett but I've been out of the loop far to long to know how these parts fair.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.67GHz 1333Mhz Socket LGA775, 4MB, BOXED w/fan
Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3, P35, Socket-775, ATX, GbLAN, DDR2, ICH9, DES, PCI-Ex16
OCZ DDR2 PC6400 2048MB KIT, Reaper HPC, 2x1024MB, Heat Pipe, (CL4-4-4-15), E.P.P

I've seen P45 motherboards recommended on other forums, would it be worth moving up to one?

e6750 is kinda old now, but still okay, komplett will be charging the old full price which is superseded..

The 8 series is better
e.g. 8400 is about 130 euros and is 3ghz core2duo, very nice gaming chip and 10 euros extra

That motherboard is fine..

Go with 4 gigs ram if using vista, otherwise that ram is fine

Pretty much what I was thinking about after reading through out the day, adding the 8400 and 4gb of ram is only about €40 so I'd be crazy not to.
