Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I fear the once mighty Prem Weekend match thread has been fatally undermined by all these individual game threads (WBA v Hull fer petes sake!)

    Hull Scores

Well the writing was on the wall with only one 3pm KO. Can't remember the last time that happened!

I much preferred the good old days when the bulk of the fixtures were on a Saturday, and then you had one decent game on TV on Sunday and Monday.

What is the logic behind having so many games on tomorrow, particulalry when you consider there is midweek action.

It's because Spurs, Villa and Portsmouth all played Uefa Cup on Thursday.

Arsenal have no excuses, they played on Tuesday and get a day extra rest than Utd.

    Sky game @ 4pm.

Should make things interesting around Liverpool Street as Spurs travel north to WHL for 3pm, with Arsenal and West Ham transiting to the Boelyn...

Took it off Paul Robinsons head :)

    2-0 villa

gabby from the looks of it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Richards should have finished a stunning move but blazed over. A third would seal it.

Ireland and Sturridge linking up superbly.

3-0 Villa, Carew After lovely football from Gabby.

Oh should have been four! Ireland has set up two good chances.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

We are takin to piss big time here.

Dunne off as a precaution after a first half knock.

    Lovely to watch.

Typical isn't it? Soon as the manager is fired they win one. Well, not yet, but only 10 mins left and 2 goals up, Pav and Bent (pen) the scorers.

I wouldn't say that. He was excellent against Ajax in mid-week and while he hasn't scored for a few games, he has worked hard.

I agree with invincibleirish. I think Agbonlahor is going to step up in a big way this season.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,661 ✭✭✭✭Helix

hes still got massive problems with his game, namely his distribution, inability to get past players a lot of the time, footballing brain and the fact that he doesnt seem to score if he has time to think

buckets and buckets of potential there, and i do think itll be realised in the next few seasons but we still need someone else in so we can take gabby out when he goes through his all too regular 4-5 game spells of being dreadful

if he plays like he did today every match tho, thered be no stopping him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Yeah I agree he's still a work in progress. I do think he's in good hands though with O'Neill. Hopefully he can realise that potential...and get me a few more fantasty points. :D

Edit: That 'fantasty' was a typo but I think I'll leave it in. :pac:

Any links for the Arsenal or Pompey games?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

Van Persie got very very very very close there, great great save.

Arsenal piling on the pressure now, gona be an interesting 20 minutes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

****ing hell, Arsenal like 1 cm away from scoring again from Van Persie. What a player he is.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

Great stuff from Abedayour, did well. But poor defending, poor.
