Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Pompey won a trophy recently I seem to recall...

Have you watched us play this season???
In fairness, he already has European football. So what's so attractive about Spurs.

    It's called humour.

id say money, and a bigger transfer kitty then he's likely to get with Pompy for the next while..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

he's taken pompey as far as he could

    spurs can win trouphies

    The Championship trophy you mean?

It will take him a good few seasons to get Spurs into the position Pompey are in.

I bet Martin O'Neill is chuffed to bits that Redknapp is out of the picture.

the owner wants out but it seems no one wants to buy the club

Sky sports have just spoken with Harry and he confirms he will join.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,815 ✭✭✭Charlie

Anyone else reckon that Grant is a nigh on certainty for the Pompey job?

Also, word of warning to Daniel Levy, going public that you're in talks with Harry Redknapp can seriously blowup in your face. Ask you fat friend.

Edit: scrath that last one, seeing as he's confirmed it himself now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,100 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

    Confirmed: He's the new boss!

Making out that its more down to Pompy not being able to turn down Spurs massive compensation payment.

<edit> good call on grant for pompy Charles.

    HARRYS ON LIVE!

Spurs are such a joke. Another case of throwing the baby out with the bath water. What is yet another manager going to achieve? More upheaval, more time needed to build a team...

Agreed, this is exactly why Spurs will never break into the top 4.

Plus Harry won't be able to go to Arsenal for players anymore!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,815 ✭✭✭Charlie

Constantly saying that it's a good deal for Pomepy. Mas Clifford esque spin.

Wasn't so long ago that he said he would be there for life, and retire.

Have heard from good source young Jamie is in as his assistant.

Obviously as interpreter, so I'm not aware of him doing any coaching before...

That's twice he's left Pompey in the lurch now.

Will ex-Arsenal Tony Adams follow him to Spurs?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,100 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Im going to the bookies tomorrow to try and put a bet on Spurs signing free agent Appiah, he's even talking now about spurs soft center..

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,056 ✭✭✭~Marky~

I am speechless..Its a bit mad to announce all this at 11.30 at night they could have at least waited till after the match against Arsenal.

Sounds like Harry is not happy with the squad, has said Tony would not be happy going to spurs :P

Yeah, cos 2 points from 10 played would be a much better point to kick off from...;)

Well Harry is an Arsenal man, so you never know.

Harry is a Harry man. He doesn't really show loyalty to any club. Didn't he leave Pompey to join rivals Southampton, only to flip-flop back again?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,815 ✭✭✭Charlie

£20+ million spent in one hour, and that's before 'Arry's paid a penny. Squabbling for months over that extra million or two for berba looks pretty laughable now.

Its gas. Just listened to him on the phone to sky sports news, then when he hung up I flicked over to setanta and he was on to them about 30 seconds later.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,213 ✭✭✭✭therecklessone

    I say again:
Strong possibility this has been brought forward to counter an open letter due to be published in the NOTW from our official supporters trust asking some awkward questions of Daniel Levy, not only dealing with playing matters but also questions him on treating fans like cash cows. I've seen a draft, will be worth a read in the morning.

Ah bollox, 'Arry says on SSN (the other one) that Top Top won't be joining him at Spuds.

Spurs visit Villa Park in March. Wonder what the reception will be like!

Steptoe has denied this on one or t'other of the news channels I'm told.

    Triffic.

I still believe tht Spurs will be relegated this season. I think it's a little too late for even 'Arry to save 'em.

Yes but they are 5 (FIVE) points from safety, surely an impossible task.

Bit harsh on Ramos I feel. when your replacing the lies of Berbatov with Frazier campbell your up the creek without a paddle really.

I was calling for his sacking before he'd even confirmed he was coming. I've also written off every player he signs, before he's signed them.

A valid point if we were losing to Liverpool and ManYoo.

Instead we were clueless against Wigan and Stoke.

And we've been sh1t since early March, when Berbatov and Keane were both available to him.

Don't forget that Swiss Tony had his role to play in the Ramos affair. There's a very common connection to all this. The likes of Kemsley, Ashley, and Levy, should be banned from running football clubs, similar to the way directors can be banned from running companies.

i wonder if the 2 lads, while playing darts back in the 1980's, made a pact that if they ever got rich they'd see who could do a better job of ruining a football club...

'Arry's just after being on BBC Radio 5 Live talking to that wally Stephen Nolan. He's appearing on more shows than Myleene Klass. :pac:

The football365 forum has gone into meltdown with this. The story broke what, about an hr and a half ago, and there is already a 20 pg thread on it, several Ramos threads, and another few pages tagged on to the mammoth 'Lets All Laugh At Spurs Thread'.

Stage managed to appear more communicative than JR? Wouldn't out it past our PR department.
