    CNN wrote:
ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (CNN) -- With 10 days until Election Day, long-brewing tensions between GOP vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin and key aides to Sen. John McCain have become so intense, they are spilling out in public, sources say.

Several McCain advisers have suggested to CNN that they have become increasingly frustrated with what one aide described as Palin "going rogue."

A Palin associate, however, said the candidate is simply trying to "bust free" of what she believes was a damaging and mismanaged roll-out.

McCain sources say Palin has gone off-message several times, and they privately wonder whether the incidents were deliberate. They cited an instance in which she labeled robocalls -- recorded messages often used to attack a candidate's opponent -- "irritating" even as the campaign defended their use. Also, they pointed to her telling reporters she disagreed with the campaign's decision to pull out of Michigan.

A second McCain source says she appears to be looking out for herself more than the McCain campaign.

"She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone," said this McCain adviser. "She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else.

Yes, I know Biden can produce gaffs left, right and centre, and yes, it's not fair to pick on the woman unfairly, but forget about playing the gender card here. And they're talking about her potentially running directly for President in 2012. W. T. F.

I'm starting to feel real pity for McCain, I don't think he realised what he was getting into (did any of them?).

Color me skeptical, but I don't know if I believe some source that is willing to stab Palin and McCain in the back by coming out with this.

There have been an increasing number of potentially damaging leaks coming from the McCain camp over the past couple of weeks. Michael Tomasky made some interesting points about it in yesterday's Guardian, pointing out that it's usually the hallmark of a floundering campaign and that there's been nothing at all from the Obama side.

Not sure about leaks but his campaign people when they step foot in front of the media they have the ability to put both feet in their mouth.

You know what's becoming really 'irritating'? Sarah Palin! McCain obviously chose her for the wrong reasons and he is paying the price. Were it not for her this election might at least have been close.

If I was her I'd just do my best to steer WAY clear of McCain before he implodes :

Standing like Mussolini on a balcony, soaking up the admiration of the remaining idiots who surround him, John McCain declared today that he would test foreign enemies.
They may want to test Obama, but I have been tested. I am going to test them. They are not going to test me.

    WTF ?

Mc Cain shows his testy side again

    *sorry*

What did McCain expect, picking Palin out of obscurity to try, no doubt, to get the female vote and add some youth and glamour to counter the Obama youth and charisma. What did he get but a viper who would walk all over him even if he got George's job and upstages him at every turn. She is clearly loving the limelight and "he" has become a vehicle for her ambitions. Never employ anybody more ambitous and ruthless than onself, as instead of an ally she has become a rival.

He took a risk. A very bad risk in hindsight.
Aides arranged a phone call between McCain and Palin, and scrutinized her answers to some seventy items on a questionnaire that she had filled out. But McCain didn’t talk with Palin in person again until the morning of Thursday, August 28th. Palin was flown down to his retreat in Sedona, Arizona, and they spoke for an hour or two. By the time he announced her as his choice, the next day, he had spent less than three hours in her company.

“It certainly was a risk—a risk a lot of people wouldn’t take,” Dan Coats, a former Indiana senator and now a volunteer with the McCain campaign, said.

Oh McCain, you could have won if you had stuck to your principles. Just when I was starting to warm up to your Economic and Energy policies your VP says Fúck You and kicks you in the face with her Energy Legs.

Speaking of being tested in 6 months who wouldn't love to take a stab at a President and a Vice President that are pulling the rope in two different directions.

I get the impression Palin is more trying to position herself for 2012. McCains camp on the other hand need a sacrificial lamb.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,413 ✭✭✭✭Trojan

Even if he somehow shifts the blame onto her, he made the terrible decision to choose her based on insufficient knowledge (a very un-Presidential decision).

Is there any chance the conservative right could choose an intelligent, attractive female role-model hockey mom for 2012? Someone like Kathleen Parker?

Edit: In hind sight, now I'm wondering if that's better or worse...

Doesn't it actually show up us as people

When we have people like sarah palin, as president

I mean, she is ****ing thick and should actually be instutionlized. I just cannot understand this. how that moose be elected as president. She is so redicoulous she represent herself as a pitbull with lipstick. For once I actually think I should go get a hachet and smash my T.V, the crap coming from it is mind boggling.

I mean for what. Sarah palin
Porn material to make terrorists horny.
    Retarded news for the retarded
Brunettes prove to be finally dumber than blondes.
Supporting no need for intellegence, I represent you etc. heck you dont even have to know.
Don't need to prenounce nuc u leaR, even when studying nuclear physics.
Make Hockey moms look intellegent, or not
People who hate american "freedoms" are all terrorists (WTF is this about)
Guess nonsense interviews is justified, lets put as her president.

Then what to prove she can see Russia from her house.

Why is she representing a country, been this stupid and insane.
Why are we as people lapping up to it. Honestly there is something wrong with me, that I'm paying attention, to people that actually are an embarressment to society.

I honestly am just shocked as to the immaturity coming from, once we thought not so long ago great nations. America is laughing stock to the world. Low as you can get.

This election has proved exactly the immaturity and vile hatred been spewed by the people that are meant to represent this world. I only wonder why we the people follow it.:(

Mysterious, I think we all get the idea that you don't approve of Sarah Palin, but you aren't going to win yourself any favours on this forum by making snide remarks at other members.

The Palin Pick was a poorly calculated gambit at winning over Clinton supporters, and it backfired grossly because of her unscripted performance. Understand that she's dug herself in a hole and while she can win over the Religious vote you can bet your shirt that voters would probably feel better off with a republican alternative. I think its lunacy to worry about her becoming a viable candidate in 2012. She might run, but she'll never get the nomination.

    Don't be so sure....

    http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/29/palin.gop/index.html
In one corner are some conservatives who believe the Alaska governor has been a detriment to John McCain's presidential bid and threatens to lead the party astray for the foreseeable future.

Another faction says Palin's core-conservative beliefs, demonstrated political acumen, and compelling frontier biography position her to reshape the face of a party now viewed by many voters as out of touch.

    Sad (and crazy) but true!

    I'm discussing politics :)

    Let's take this slow now.

I was discussing Palins behaviour and discussing the reason's as to why I think she was picked. I was also just giving my opinion of the recent events of the last few weeks. Is that clear enough to you. It's not a rant. There is a difference.

    Thank you!
