Gonna wait till open days have been attended until i go near CAO, but for the moment i can see it looking like this:

    1.Science TCD
    2.Computer Science UCD (Bsc)
    3.An Nua Gaeilge TCD
    4.Computer Science UCD (BA)
    5.Who knows?

i don't really have much to put on mine because there's only one course i want to do and you can only do it in one place. However I am looking at different things

    1. Radiography UCD

then i was looking at occupational therapy and physiotherapy and the likes. all which the points are very high. then my career guidance teacher suggested clinical measurement in DIT but having read through everything i'm still not entirely sure what it is...

There're a million and one things I'd like to do, which makes this so much harder ):

But, what I've got so far...

    1. Veterinary Medicine, UCD.
    2. Radiation Therapy, TCD.
    3. Science, UCD.
    4. Modern Languages, UCD.
    5. Arts, UCD.
    6. English, TCD.
    7. Animal Science, UCD.

And then there're a bunch of sciency level 6/7 courses I'd like to do aswell.

    TOO MANY CHOICES*pulls out hair*

These are in no particular order, still have a lot of decisions to make. These are just some of the courses im interested in:

    Music with Arts (UCC)
Music + Psychology (TSM in TCD)
Music + Theatre and drama studies (TSM in TCD)
    Liberal Arts (MI)
    Psychology (NUIG)

Now all i need to do is decide which i want the most........

    Medicine TCD
    Medicine UCD
    Medicine RCSI
    Human Health and Disease TCD
    Human Genetics TCD
    Science TCD
    Medicinal Chemistry TCD
    Biochemistry UCD
    Science UCD

All the courses after Science TCD aren't in any particular order, I'll probably jig them around a bit when I fill in the CAO properly. Only 5 days till it opens online!

    German & Russian TRINITY
    Modern Languages UCD
    English & Psychology TRINITY
    Media Arts DIT

    4.Orts UCD

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,626 ✭✭✭timmywex

I was waiting for this thread, un fortunately :(

Dont really know yet, but will probably include actuary, engineering, maths, comp aided design and maybe arts as fallback! All in ucd, trinity or ul i would think, but i dont really have a clue tbh!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 232 ✭✭boobookitty

    Science courses:
Physio, Radiation Therapy, Nutritional Sciences, Occupational Therapy, Biochem in no particular order.

    Arts:
English, Ancient History, Archeology. again in no particular order.

Just got to decide between the list, choose the best 10 and put them in order.

eeep i havent even got one course i want to do!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,361 ✭✭✭bythewoods

So far it's looking like this:

    1. Medicine TCD
    2. Medicine UCD
    3. Medicine Galway
    4. Medicine RCSI
    5. Medicine UCC (Possibly. Although I'd hate to go to Cork...)

And then after that comes the confusion. There'll probably be Pharmacy (TCD), Occupational Therapy (TCD) Radiography (UCD) Radiadion Therapy (TCD), Health & Life Sciences (UCD).
    Or possibly Engineering courses...

And Piste- That Human Health and Disease course in Trinity? Is that new for 2009? Never heard of it before, but it sounds interesting...

Went onto cao website last night just to have a look around at courses in various college's. I originally aimed for physiotherapy then kinda got second thoughts on whether its viable course to do and get a job for when you finish it. Second choice would be computer science as i have a general interest in it but then again it's fairly low points and i feel i want to be aiming higher? I dunno im pretty damn confused by it all. There seem's to be feck all courses when you break it down :P

    im fairly sure i think:D

    BESS Trinity
    Commerce UCD
    Finance +Accounting DCU

yea , i say it would prob be around 550ish, but it would largely depends on the demand. if the demand is high then the points will be high,...since it's the 1st yr they introduce the course, taking that in to consideration, i am gonna take a chance =) i would be happy to end up in UCD , sure thats where i was gonna go before i saw the TCD one..:)
