Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Medical card eligibility

    Hi,

Does anyone know who I should contact about a medical card? I'm starting a postgrad course next week in Cork, and even though I'm getting paid (below minimum wage - it's a scholarship) I'll have lots of costs - rent, living expenses etc. I've got some health problems that require me to visit the doctor once or twice a month, and then medication is the DPS charge, so all together its between €150-200 a month, something I can't really afford - it's around a quarter of my income...

So... will I be eligible for a medical card? And who should I contact in relation to it.

    Thanks in advance.

You can get an application form & the qualifying criteria from your nearest health centre by phoning them and ask them to post them to you.
Health centres are listed in the phone book or on www.hse.ie
