There is only going to be one outcome here so I'll make a vote in favour of Leatherface which brings it to 8-0 and puts him through to Round 2.

Next battle will be posted shortly......

It's got to be Ripley. She had a few movies of Alien hell to contend with and became a ruthless killer.

    Wendy Torrance (The Shining)
Ripley. She outlasted trained marines for gods sake.:D

If you can read this, you're too close!

Ripley. She'd take out Wendy and then shoot the head off Jack just for effect after.

Even without weapons Ripley would crush Wendy easily.

I call mismatch. Ripley should have been up against Sarah Connor and Wendy should have faced.... but I digress...

This from the man who wants things to be seeded in Round 2.:p People would have been crying at me if I put the two of them up against each other in Round 1.

4-0 so far in favour of Ripley. Lets keep up the quick pacing of the past few Battles please!

Actually i want it to be a completely unseeded randomly drawn free for all.
    You put Alien Versus Predator
    the better team won!
    :pac:

Ah, sorry. Well the way I am doing things is ensuring the best of the best go through to Round 2, while at the same time giving you guys some interesting battles to keep you all on your toes (think Myers v Vorhees, Alien v Pred, the Dracula Battle etc).

In theory I'd like to do that more often. Realistically however this thing hasn't had the wde selection of voters that I hoped for. I'm barely getting 8 vote majorties. So Triple Threats will be few and far between due to time issues.

With your vote it stands at 5-0. Three more required.

    *********RULE CHANGE********

I have decreased the amount of votes required from 8 to 6 as things just aren't ticking over as much as I would like. With a 6-0 victory Ellen Ripley goes through to Round 2.

I will post the next battle shortly...........

Good lord the Thing must be one of the tournament favorites. I given space it has limited fighting potential. Brundel's only chance is to set fire to him really quick and contain him. I'm going to hazard a guess that Brundel's scientific curiosity to study rather than destroy would prove his downfall in this one, not finishing off the Thing quick enough and being absorbed into the Thing's being.

    my winner: THE THING!

Probably not enough. I would imagine Brundel would be infected by the Thing before finishing it off fully. As you know once that happens youre pretty much screwed.

    (good choice of opponents BTW)

Speaking of Brundel, did you see Jeff Goldblum's cameo in Deathwish?
He's the rapist, an early credit for his career
Speaking of Deathwish, i saw it for only €5 in Xtra vison yesterday.

I haven't seen the thing so I am staying out of this one. I do think the fly is a bit of a wuss, though.

I have a feeling the next battle will piss you off.;):D

I didn't know that was Goldblum! I knew that I recognised that face though.

1-1 so far. Remember, it's first to six now.

All that I'll say is that it's two classic black comedy characters going up against each other.:p:D
