Changing Page names & files structure & ranking

    I was told to change page names to thispage.html to this-page.html as it would improve SEO.

    Also changing the directory structure from none to
    /
    /company
    /products
    /information

    I have no problem doing the above.

    My query is, my pages get very good ranking usually first page on keyword searches.
    So if I change from
    /thispage.html -to- /information/this-page.html
    what will happen to the current google results, ie(the page won't be there)

    So how should I handle the change over between page&directory changes ?
