Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Guys am Barry form the Connecticut in Northfield and am a new collector of war things, that hobbies began last year soon after my dad past away the first object of my collection was his war helmet.
    So I have a question how can I be sure that this medal is an authentic one? Nowadays there are good copies and I don't want a fake one.

    Hi Barry,

    I presume this should be in the militaria sub-section, but I'm sure one of the mods will have it moved.

    Do you have a picture of the medal in question and/or any details to describe it? There's not a lot we can say without seeing it.

    Hi Barry,

    Just wondering, is the medal belong to your dad, or is it something that you picked up recently? You are correct about there being a lot of fakes around at present, especially of German awards. As Danpatjoe stated, pictures are whats needed.

    Hi Guys thanks a lot for the reply, I didn't got any other picture of this medal I found it interesting and thought it will fit in my collection but as i says I don't want a fake thing
