What's the best network? I can barely get reception at the windows, and not at all within the confines of my man-cave.

What network are you on? I switched from O2 to Vodafone and found it better, but others may disagree.

    Thanks.

    I'm on 02.

Any thoughts on Meteor or 3?

Im on Vodafone. No probs. Free calls and texts to other Vodafone users when you top up 20 euro for 30 days.

I think it can vary quite a lot - maybe get a SIM from meteor and see how you get on (it's "free" but you buy €10 credit).

I'm on Vodafone, have never had a problem with coverage in Charlesland.

Have Meteor in the car and it's perfect.

Vodafone on my own phone and it's okay, but sometimes the signal does drop.

I did have 3 a while ago and it was terrible, which is why I'm on Vodafone now. (well, that and work pays my bill now!)

Have a 3 phone myself and indeed coverage is patchy at best.

One of the big things 3 Promotes is using the internet on your phone, which you cant do at all in Charlesland. Dont know if their wireless 'Dongle' works down here either.

Its where you live, not your phone or network

Yes, but this forum is about a specific area.

Dont get the Three dongle - it doesn't work in Charlesland.

This also means there's no 3G signal for any Three mobile as well.

The only 3G signal I ever got was over by the bookies\pizza hut but that was very faint.
