Is now the time to bring back the Cruiserweight title?

Considering how over Kendrick and Bourne have gotten in the past month or two, the fact Helms is coming back very soon, Kung-Funaki of all people is getting a semi-push, Haas is on Raw every week, the Miz is being his usual brilliant self and is Main Eventing Raw next week and Rey seems some what rejuvinated could the WWE finally get a cross brand Cruiserweight title over?

If you look at the recent heavyweight champions, three of them would almost qualify (Punk, Edge and Jericho) so Vince looks to be pushing small guys again .The problem has always been awful heels but now that you have the Miz and Kendrick who are good heels, and the token **** one in Chavo (no to mention that Helms isn't returning as Hurricane so he has potential) the balance is there. So could they get it over by having the Miz with Morrison kill Hornswaggle next tuesday?

Nope as it takes a way from the uniqueness of Rey, Evan and a few others.

Jesus christ no, there are too many titles in the WWE as it is. Keep the current titles and put them on the right people. None of this Rey Mysterio - heavyweight champion bullsh*t.

    Is that not a contradiction?

I don't think there is a place for a Cruiserwight title these days. The jobber belts are taken up by the United States and Intercontinental Title. Shelton Benjamin is practically losing every week to R-Truth and Santino is getting shown up by Honky,Goldgay and Piper nowadays.

It also doesn't help when your champion is 3" 5. The fans didn't give a **** about the belt so its better off dead

Definitely not. The title was a joke when they got rid of it, I can’t see that changing if they were to bring it back now. The only competitors around today that could even be part of the CW division (leaving out the likes of Mysterio, Bourne and maybe Kendrick and a few others) would be Yang, Noble, London, Helms, Super Crazy, Funaki, Hornswoggle (?) along with a few other names and that's over the 3 brands. Not exactly the most impressive and it’s all been done before.

There are more than enough titles right now, plus they added the Diva title to the list since they got rid of the CW title. As much as I was a fan of the division before it got stale, I can’t see it being revived any time soon.

It is a contradiction, Mysterio is a cruiserweight, however it didn't stop Rey blowing Eddie's corpse for a push one PPV at a time, while the Mexican fans ate it up with a wooden spoon, the rest of us nearly vomited. Rey is not a heavyweight title contender. WWE believed otherwise.

Yep, contradiction - beautifully f*cking illustrated!

So they should bring back a cruiser belt for Rey to wrestle over?

No, they should keep Rey out of a title picture because like Triple H and Undertaker, he doesn't need one. Allow the cruisers to be eligable for the IC to US title instead. Christ knows, WWE have cut back on a list of contenders and wrestlers oops superstars, wait thats not it either, ENTERTAINERS to go for those belts as it is!
